Q. I need to get a playstation 3 but I can't decide between a 40 gb or an 80 gb. Are either of them compatible with the ps2 games? I need to get one on time for the new gta game. Please help and thanks in advance!
A. Ok so the 40gb cant play PS2 games, but the 20, 60 and 80gb can. I have an 80gb. :)
Well some people might say the 40gb is the same as the rest. Well the right answer is NO!
The 40gb is like the "stripped down" version of the PS3. Yes, it is a PS3, but just with less features. Ill start with the crappy cons 1st, just to get it over with. So the 40gb, CANNOT, and i repeat, CANNOT play PS2 games, even with an update. So if you have some cool ps2 games you want to play, you cant play it with the 40gb. Only has 2 USB ports, so if your'e gunna use it for ipods, memory or some sort, you're out of luck. No memory card readers, so if you wanna plug in a pro duo from a psp, or a SD for photos, you're out of luck again.
Cons:
- This PS3 is the stripped down model:
- Only has 2 USB instead of 4.
- NO PS2 COMPATIBILTY!!
- No memory card readers :(
- Only a 40gb.
Ok, so i said ONLY a 40gb. Well you can always change your harddrive to something bigger, so it's possible to even have a 1TB (1000GB) PS3. All you need is any 2.5" serial ATA Harddrive running at 5200RPM. Best part is that it wont void the warranty. Now you may be thinking, "wth man, this 40gb sucks!" Well here are some pros! :)
Pros:
- It's a new, 7th gen playstation 3.
- It has HD graphics, it will amaze you with it's 1080p glory. (Yes, it has over 2 million pixels; more than your eyes)
- Great games, and some exclusives coming out like tekken, MGS4 and so forth.
- The cheapest blu ray player you can find as of right now. You can also play games! woot! Blu ray already won the format war, so buy one. :)
- PS3 Home is coming soon. Home is an online community, where other ps3 people chat and stuff. You can create an avatar, chat, play games, have achivements etc. Soon, it will be better than xbox live!
- Best console in my p.o.v
I hoped i helped, and dont forget to choose best answer. If you're wondering, i would get a 60 or 80gb BECAUSE of the PS2 backwards compatibilitys. Keep in mind that the 60gb is out of production, and can play all of the ps2 games. The 80gb is out for now, but returning in the summer with MGS4 and a DUALSHOCK3. It can play most. But thte update 2.10 enabled it to play all.
So yea, dont forget to choose a best answer! :D

How do I clean my playstation 3 with an air can?
Q. I have an air can to clean the dust out of my playstation 3 and I am wanting to clean it out so I was just wondering how I clean it out?
Do I use the air can from the outside and through all vents? If so wont that cause all the dust to go into it?

A. You should not use compressed air to clean a PlayStation 3.
Every once in awhile you might want to try to vacuum it. Better sucking it out than blowing it in.

How can I use my printer and set it up to print from the Internet with my Playstation 3?
Q. I have the right Printer, and I have Internet but I have no PC/Computer. Can I print from the Internet with Playstation 3? If so how do I go about setting this up cause the way it is set up now I can't print from the Internet!
Thanks for your Input.
Thanks for your Input.
A. No, I'm afraid you can't. Your Playstation 3 would need to have driver installed to tell it what particular printer you have connected. The printer won't work without this.
