How do I get my PS 3 to work with HDMI on new TV?

I bought a 32" Philips LCD TV that has two HDMI slots and goes up to 720 P HD.I bought it specifically to use with my playstation 3.I bought a 16 foot HDMI cable made by Monster Cable company.It seems i have done it right,I put the HDMI cable on slot 1 and use source on my control to put it on HDMI 1,all i get is a black screen.Tried it again on slot 2 and switched TV to HDMI slot 2 on source and that one won't work either.It works with standard connector cables that came with the PS 3 but I can't get it to work with the HDMI cord to play in full HD.I am getting very stressed as i paid 900 for this TV and want to know if theres something I am doing wrong?

Try connecting the cables that came with your ps3, and also connect the HDMI cable. Go to your tv put it so it on the regular AV cable input channel. Then go into your ps3 menu for display and select HDMI then your screen should go black, switch to the input channel to the HDMI and it should work.

All everybody wants to talk about is the Nintendo Wii. I own a PS 3 and I think it's the best video game system out there. The games are better and you can tell it's the most powerful system on the market If money is an issue there are other ways to buy one.

Fully agreed. Now I give Wii all props for it's new controller system but man the PS3 is GREAT!

Perfect example for PS3 is Drake's Fortune. I have played it 7 times and each time I am blown away by the graphics, the gameplay, the story, everything.....the PS3 engine is fantastic...and i love the rechargeable wireless controllers so no more batteries

I am having problems downloading the software from the PS 3 directly so can any suggest any other way by which do the software update.

yes you can download the firmware straight from the playstation web site. the stick the file on a usb thumbdrive or other external drive and plug it into the ps3

How do I find temporary internet files when using PS 3?

Q. When getting on the internet using the PS 3 I wanted to know how to access the temporary internet files and/or the cookies. I want to know if my teenager has been on inappropriate websites. Thanks.

Q. as the question states i would like to hook up my pc speakers to a ps 3 ? The reason is becuase ive already figured out to hook it up to my monitor through a hdmi to dvi d cable but this of course has no sound. So what do i need to make this happen.

A. are their audio outputs on ps3? like red and white Phono sockets as you will need to get leads and put the jacks in the phono like a dvd player and plug them into an auxiliary device like surround sound or hi-fi amplifier that can take audio in-put from ps3 (audio out-put)

A. If you use Windows Media Player, you can setup your PC to act as a media server and stream media to your PS3. It works fairly well, but I prefer to use an external hard drive to put files on the PS3's hard drive.

And if the PC and PS3 use the same router, they will appear on the same local network.

Can I attach an external USB TV tuner to a PS 3 and will it work?

Q. It's connected to a TV but for some reason, the audio signal from the antenna doesn't work. The internal speakers are working though because it works when we play games and watch DVDs on the PS 3.

A. You'd need drivers for something like that, most likely you'll need to install Linux on your ps3 for that to work.

That's the only RPG I can recommend because there are none better.. Not for PS3, the XBox 360 or PC.. Yes, in my opinion, Oblivion is that good..
